Z.E.R.O. Is Growing — A New Look Inside the Organization

Z.E.R.O. has been growing behind the scenes, and the website is beginning to feel a lot more like the world I originally imagined.

Over the past several weeks, I’ve been expanding Z.E.R.O. — Zero Event Response Organization beyond the story itself. The headquarters, personnel, technology, field operations, containment work, and the quieter moments between cases are all becoming part of a larger visual world.

A New Visual Archive

One of the biggest additions is the Visual Archive. This new area of the site is being built as a record of the Z.E.R.O. universe, including personnel, operations, research, training, investigations, and everyday life inside the organization.

The first public collection, Z.E.R.O. Operations & Personnel, is now underway. More images will be added as the archive grows, giving visitors a chance to see parts of Z.E.R.O. that may never appear directly on the page of a story.

The Z.E.R.O. Signal

The site is also getting its own sound with original music developed specifically for the Z.E.R.O. universe. The soundtrack currently features The Z.E.R.O. Signal and Z.E.R.O. — Unknown Frequency, bringing another layer of atmosphere to the organization and its world. As Z.E.R.O. continues to grow, more original music can become part of its evolving sound.

More Than a Story

My goal has never been to make Z.E.R.O. feel like a few chapters sitting on a website. I want the organization to feel as though it exists beyond the story — with people doing their jobs, laboratories running, teams preparing for assignments, surveillance continuing in the background, and strange cases waiting to be investigated.

That means the site will continue to change as the universe expands. New archive images, personnel, creatures, cases, technology, story material, and other pieces of the Z.E.R.O. world are still ahead.

If you’ve been here since the beginning, you’re watching Z.E.R.O. take shape almost at the same time I am.

And we’re just getting started.
